The Best Things in Life

There is a new challenge on the Lasting Memories Blog, which is Traditions - create a layout about a family tradition or event. We traditionally take a family photo that we use for our Christmas cards, so I made this layout from this year's family photo shoot. I just randomly cur shapes from 2 inch strips of paper and attached it on black cardstock to create the background. I hope you join in the fun this week!

These are pictures of me and Luca last year playing in the snow-what a fun memory of 2022.  I thought the photos went great with the simple stories vintage winter woods collection. I used my Cricut to cut out the title.

Road Trip

 Today is a new challenge at Lasting Memories. Many scrapbookers create an album for each year.  This week, we're creating a title page for one of our albums (it could be a yearly album, travel album, baby album, etc.).  I created the title page for our vacation album from this summer. It was a 13 hour drive from Pennsylvania to Arkansas, but with stops we got there in 15 hours. I haven't had a chance to get started on this album and was excited to get the first page completed! Oh Holy Night

It is my day as the designer for Sketches in Thyme and this is my take on sketch #548 by one of our awesome sketch designers, Brenda Ragsdale.  I used this sketch to document my grandson playing with the little people nativity set-which was my sons when he was that age. I changed it up to include 4 photos, but otherwise I stuck pretty close to the sketch.

First Place

I am so excited to announce that I am a designer for Lasting Memories Challenge Blog. Since January is the first month of the year, this week we are creating layouts about "firsts."  Maybe it's a first birthday, first anniversary, first time visiting a restaurant, or new vacation spot. Mine was about my son getting all first places at his swim meet, I created the swirling wave at the top following this video. Can't wait to see which first you create!
