Great Outdoors

Hope everyone is staying warm-school is already canceled for tomorrow because it is so cold!!! It was great to look at pictures from September when we were in shorts. My kids were in the mood to pose for pictures one day after school when we went on the hiking trail, so I am sure you will see more photos from this trip in the future.

The title was cut using the cricut cartridge outdoor man. The hexagon, photo booth strip and viewmaster die are from my creative time. If you saw my post from this morning you might notice some of the same patterned paper, I was smart and used up the scraps instead of hoarding them!

I am entering this in the following challenges:
FCCB: Use 3 different patterned papers
Cut it Up: Through the Woods challenge
Frosted Designs: Use this sketch along with Ink, Paint or Mists

I am going to try to keep up with this years photos as I get them, we will see how this works out-lol!

Frosty Fun

The cold weather is back and it was storming and blowing so hard I stayed up last night and made this layout. The paper is all from core'dination, I embossed, inked and stickled some of it. I stickled the wooden snowflakes but it is hard to see them shimmer in the photo. The title was cut using the artbooking cricut cartridge, and the little boy was cut using the quilted Christmas cartridge which I had won from exploring cricut-thanks! I used twine on the sled, glossy accents on the boots and a PKS for the face.

I am entering it in the following challenges:
Exploring Cricut: Winter Wonderland
FCCB: Winter Fun
Craftin Desert Diva's: Winter
Die Cuttin Divas: Out with the old (wooden snowflakes I have had forever) in with the new (Cricut cartridge)

Shining Moments

We did not have school on Tuesday because of the cold weather, we never got out of the negative digits. So while I was stuck in the house with a day off work I got to make a double layout!

The elves were cut with the cricut cartridge create a friend and stickled to add some shine. The faces are peachy keen and I used liquid applique to make the balls on the hats and shoes. The title and trees were cut out using the cricut cartridge art philosophy and stamped with the coordinating close to my heart stamps. I cut the ornaments out using the same cartridge. All the bling is also from CTMH.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
FCCB: Use a sentiment
Quick Quotes: Bright and Shiny
2 creative chicks: Anything goes
