13th Birthday

In two months it will be Cassandra's 14th birthday, so I thought it might be a good time to get last years pictures scrapped! I used all older items I had, the paper and embellishments are from MME, the title was cut from the cricut cartridge phrases, and I used stickers from my MME for the 13th in the title.

I am entering the following challenges:

Love Forever

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. My husband has been working 80 hour weeks lately,  so I wasn't expecting anything for V-day, but he managed to get me chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite). What a great husband! These are pictures of our adorable son climbing a tree in my parents back yard. The pictures are from last March, he looks so much older now!

The paper is all from Coredination, I sanded, embossed and inked quit a but of it. I also got this new tool called sew ribbon that punched the x's into the paper and it was so easy to thread the ribbon through the holes. I put buttons on the ribbon to make an X and O kind of look to it. The love forever title was cut using the rock princess cricut cartridge. I then stamped the title using a glue pad and added glitter. The hearts are from My Creative Time, the ribbon and flowers are from Liz's paper loft.

I am entering it in the following challenges:
Anything but a Card: Share the Love
FCCB: Be My Valentine
Pause Dream Enjoy: Mostly Red
My Creative Time: Embossing
Pumpkin Spice: Valentine's Day
Exploring Cricut: Valentine's Day

We love fresh picked berries

We had another snow day today-so I got to stay inside and be a little crafty! It was fun to make a layout about a hot summer day. Every year we pick cherries, but there was an early frost in 2012 which killed the cherry crop. So when we went to Virginia to visit my sister we thought it would be fun to pick our own blueberries and blackberries.

The we and heart were cut from the give a hoot cricut cartridge, I used a MCT stamp to stamp the words love on the purple heart. The rest of the title is cut using the country living cartridge. When I embossed the letters I had used my glue pad on the embossing folder, afterwards I sprinkled the title with purple glitter and it stuck to the embossed design. I had seen people ink their folders before embossing and thought I would give glue a try-and it worked!

All the paper and embellishments are from Imaginisce, except for the blue background paper. I used the I-rock to make the blue heart and dots on the paper.
I also used the I-rock to make a blackberry, and just cut out the leaves by hand.
