Naughty or Nice

I love these pictures of my son with Santa, he was so excited to see Santa this year! I couldn't wait to make this layout and capture the conversation between him and Santa, which I did in the speech bubble (made from cricut heritage cartridge). The journaling says- Santa asked Emert who told him he could cross off the Naughty and Emert said it was just a shirt. Then Santa told him to keep trying to be good to get on the nice list and to stay there. Then Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas and Emert said a new DS. Santa wanted to know what happened to his current DS and Emert said it was broke and his Sissy's.

The paper is all Teresa Collins Santa's List collection. The title is cut using the cricut and embossed with the diamond tree cuttlebug folder. Santa's boots are a die from My Creative Time that were stickled with Christmas red, the top is white liquid applique. The stars, tag and stamps are all from My Creative Time.

Twinkle Card

I made another gift card holder for a challenge at Core'dination. The challenge was to make a hand made element for a card. I punched out different shaped snowflakes and made it into my Christmas tree. I also embossed the background and the sentiment. All the paper is Core'dination except for the tree trunk which was a little scrap I had.

The pumpkin is a cottage cutz and I used glitter ribbon behind the face to make it look like it was glowing. the ghost was made with a My creative time die, then stamped with a PKS face and stickled. Amazing

It is finally the start to the weekend and the weather has been typical PA fall weather. Cool crisp mornings that turn into beautiful sunny days. We have been planting mums and decorating the outside for fall, I love it! It made me want to do a layout of the corn maze I took the kids to last year-hopefully that is where we will be headed next weekend!

All the paper is DCWV. I used the cricut to cut out the title and leaves, then stamped the leaves with close to my heart corresponding stamps. I used stickles on the title and corn. The corn and scarecrow are from peachy keen. When I was finished I asked the five year old what he thought and he told me it couldn't be a corn field without some crows trying to steal the corn. So I cut out the crows with the cricut and he was right it did look better with crows!

My Hero

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! It's back to work in the morning, but at least it is only a four day work week!

My son is obsessed with being a cop or a soldier when he grows up. So last year for Halloween I bought him this costume, he still wears it around the house to shot bad guys or zombies. At least I know I am protected!

I used a stencil to create the background paper. The title is cut from the stand and salute cricut cartridge, the SWAT guy was cut from everyday paper dolls cartridge, and the soldier was cut from the Toy Story cartridge. I used a PKS to make the face on the SWAT guy, and used a pink by design stamp for my journaling block.

Ready to get my hands dirty

Tomorrow is the big day-first day of high school for my daughter and first day of kindergarten for my son! I saw this idea on the internet (can't remember where) and thought this would be the perfect back to school gift for my son's teachers and Bath and Body had 3 different apple soaps this fall. He has a kindergarten teacher, a music teacher and an art teacher (who is my mother), so I bought one of each. The font was free from CK blog and the apple was cut with my cricut and stamped with a peachy keen face.

S'more great moments

It is the end of the weekend and my kids go back to school this week-hard to believe summer is over! I am sure with the cooler fall nights we will be having more backyard campfires.

I used the cricut cartridge 3 birds on parade to cut out the title and bird, and the campin critters cartridge to make the porcupine and the s'more. I used a photo of our fire in place of a cricut made one to try something new.

Glasses

Last school year my daughter Cassandra failed her vision test. My sister Joy is an Optometrist, so when we were visiting she checked her eyes and found that Cassandra is near sighted. When we got back to PA we went and got her first pair of glasses, they are black trimmed in blue. She also got contacts to wear during sports and probably to school.

The girl on the tag was cut out using paper doll teen on the cricut then stamped with a PKS face, I was pretty impressed with myself that I managed to get the eyes inside the glasses. The stamps are from Pink by design. The title was cut using the Dr. Checkup cartridge, and the roses using formal occasion cartridge. The background paper is from creative memories, I thought the embossed silver circles looked kinda like eyes. The pearls and ribbon were from my stash.

Coolin' Off

We live in a small town that does not have an ice cream truck, so when we were on vacation at my sister's and the ice cream truck was coming down the street my son thought that was the coolest thing in the world.

I used the cricut summer occasion cartridge to make the title, and had my daughter eat a Popsicle so I could use a real stick. The truck was cut using the pop up neighborhood cartridge. Everything except the bling and button tires are from DCWV.

A New Sheriff in Town

I have exactly one week of summer break left before it is back to school-where did the summer go? Of course today was a high of 57 and it felt more like fall than summer. Which made me want to pull out some pictures from last Halloween.

The title and star were cut from the county fair cricut cartridge, the sheriff car was cut using the Disney cars cartridge. The twine is from the twinery, chipboard, washi tape and buttons are MME.

It is a rainy overcast day in PA perfect for staying in and scrapbooking! The title for this layout was made on my cricut using the outdoor man and camping cartridges. Believe

I can't believe I haven't scrapbooked in over 2 months! Summer has brought some fun and busy schedules. My daughter was on a local and traveling softball team and my son had some medical issues that were not serious but time consuming. It felt great to be back in my crafting room!

I made a shaker box, my first, for the title using the pagoda cricut cartridge. The bell and ornament were also cut with my cricut. I also used my new sew easy circles to make the decorative circle, what a cool tool!
Then I used coredination paper and put it through my label maker for my journaling. I sanded and inked it afterwards.

Wanted!

2 posts in one day-can you believe it! I actually made this the other day and am just getting around to posting it. Speaking of getting around to it these pictures are from 2 years ago-how time flys! The paper is older Karen Foster, but once I found it in my stash I knew I had to use it. I saw this title on someone elses blog, sorry I can not remember whose, but just thought it would be perfect with these pictures! The little cowboy was cut out using my cricut and embossed with my cuttle bug.

Mother's Day Card

Those of you that visit this blog know that I am a scrapbooker-but I decided to branch out and make a Mother's Day card. This is currently a free cut in the cricut craft room and I just loved how dimensional it is! I used core'dination paper for this project because I love how it looks after it is embossed and sanded. I used the insert from the front of the card and cut it to look like a tag, then stamped it with a Pink by Design stamp. I added some bling from my stash and inked around the edges. I am sure that my Mom will love getting a homemade card!

You are my world

It has been a while since a had a chance to post or even scrapbook, things are always busy in the spring. But I am loving the sunshine! This was a page I did last night of Emert at the ball field watching his sister's softball game. The one neat thing I did was the middle banner is actually the top of the photo I had cropped off-it was white with the ball field wire fence and worked perfect as an accent.

The background paper is from core'dination, the wood accent pieces are from studio calico, the stamp is from pink by design. Everything else is from quick quotes.

I am entering it in the following challenges:
