Take a hike part 2

I was looking through the photos on my camera when I realized that I had hiking pictures that I never printed, and of course I loved these pictures of my kids. The problem was that I had already made a layout of pictures of the same hike from my phone. So I decided to take the old layout and add on to it and make it a 2 pager. So here is what it looks now:

Perfect Day

It is finally the weekend! Ours has been filled with softball games, picnics and helping my sister move-but I stayed up late and made this layout. The top picture is me and my two kids last Easter, and the bottom is my Dad and nephew Caden. My Mom snapped some pictures before church, the only reason I am actually in a photo-LOL!

All the paper and accessories are from MME, except for the rub-ons that were in my stash and the flower which I think was on a present my daughter had received and I of course saved. I cut the rose at the top using the Hanna Montana cricut cartridge. I cut the squares out at 2" and used foam to pop up every other square-it is hard to see that in the picture. some of the squares I embossed and inked. The strip on the side was punched with a Martha Stewert punch.

I used the sketch from the sampler kit club:

I am also adding it in the color challenge at Ideas for Scrapbookers whose prize is sponsored by the sampler. The challenge was to use the colors green, purple, gold.

Last but not least I am entering it also in the challenge at BBTB2, which is to create a project with a cricut rose on it.

Time out for Fun!

I am loving summer break because I get to scrapbook more often! Emert got for Christmas this really cool fisher price better batter baseball toy, you step on the plate and it picks up a ball for you to hit. Much more fun than hitting it off a tee. He had to wait until the weather got nice to play with it, so I figured this was a good representative this year for welcome summer- which is the theme challenge over at celebrate the occasion.

The paper is from MME and the white is cut using a Martha Stewert punch. The title is cut from the life's a party cricut cartridge and the baseball playing bird is cut from 3 birds on parade cartridge. I used the fastpitch rocks stamp set from MCT to stamp the baseball and shoe laces on the bird. The birds eye was a stamp from Peachy Keen, and the "have a ball" was from pink cricut's simply everything set.

I am also entering this in the ink it pink challenge which is to use the colors red, white and blue

Party Time

Another beautiful day in PA-hope everyone is having blue skies and summer fun where they are! I bought the cartridge life's a party a while ago and kind of forgot about it-that's how you know you have too many cartridges! So I pulled it out last night and found this fun party time cut. The gift title is from the birthday bash cartridge, the pearls are from Martha Stewert. The background paper is the same paper that I embossed behind Cassandra's pictures and it is from core'dination. The other paper is MME, and twine is from the twinery. It is bitter sweet looking at these pictures from last years birthday-she looks soooo young! What a difference a year in high school makes!

I am entering it in the following:

Graduation Layout

Hi everyone! It is supposed to be a beautiful day here in Somerset,PA so I will make this short because my son is begging to go out and play. The teenager is still in bed-who knows when we will see her.

This is a layout of her 6th grade graduation from St. Peter's School. The paper came from the school, they had it made for their fundraiser crop-love it! I used the imagine to cut out the scalloped shapes, then embossed and chalked them. The church is from the inspired heart cartridge, graduation is from locker talk cartridge and the crosses in the title are from indie art. The banner is MME, and the tag is from MCT and says follow your dreams. The twine is from the twinery.

I am entering it in the following:

You and Me

Hi everyone! Hope you are having fun and celebrating Father's Day-I know we are. The kids each made Mike a card and Emert even made one for Pappy-so I didn't get to make one. Oh well!

The great thing about digital cameras is that you can take lots of pictures and then you can chose the ones you want later. The bad thing about digital cameras is after a year of taking these photos I still couldn't pick my favorites-I loved them all! So for the first time in a very long time I made a double layout. Here is a closer look. The paper is from MME, the little fishing scene is cut from the campin critters cricut cartridge. the little fish are some brads I had in my stash. I used twine from the twinery to stitch around the borders and make the banner at the bottom.

I am entering it in the following contests:

  • the water challenge at BBTB2
  • Father's Day challenge at Celebrate the Occasion
  • Father's Day theme challenge at More than Favors
  • Make a masculine card or project for Pink by Design http://pinkbydesignstamps.com/2012/06/13/ink-it-pink-challenge-2-and-a-winner/#.T94yRhdfErg
  • The challenge at MCT is: Use any OLDER CARTRIDGE of YOUR choice. This is a COLOR challenge using the colors below in the CUTE owl picture! Make a card, layout or any 3-D project for this challenge .

School's Out!

Hi everyone-yes I made another layout! I found a new website called lasting memories which has layout challenges. This weeks challenge is to use a summer song from the 50-70's. I used Alice Cooper's 1972 song, School's Out, for my title. That also happens to be the year I was born. The title is cut out from the locker talk cartridge and embossed then inked.

These are pictures of Cassandra's last day of school, forever, at St. Peter's School. This year she went to public school and junior high-what a change! The school house is by Jolee's and I wrote the name of her school on it. This was a quick and simple layout but I really like how it turned out. I used the following sketch from let's get sketchy:

Happy Summer

Two posts in one day-it must be summer break! I made this layout of Emert playing in the back of his dad's truck last summer. My husband was rebuilding our chimney and this was the sand he was using to mix with the mortar.

All the paper is from DCWV. So I am entering it in there challenge which is to follow this sketch:

I am also entering it in the cricut circle challenge, which is to include a sun cut and the word “summer” somewhere on your project. The title is cut from summer celebrations cartridge, the bucket and shovel are from life's a beach cartridge and the truck is from father's day. I used distressed stickles on them to look like sand.

And also the Fabulous Friday Challenge at frosted designs, which is to include stitching on your project. Which I faked on my title and circles.

butterfly kisses

Hi Everyone-hope you are having a great weekend! My daughter is afraid of bugs and freaks out whenever she sees one, even if it is just a fly. Because of this my son started acting afraid, so I bought him caterpillars and we got to watch them transform into butterflies. So now he is not afraid-which makes me happy. That is one of the challenges at My Creative time, use your imagine and the theme is what makes you happy.

I made this mostly on my imagine machine. The background paper, title and butterflies are from the nursery rhythm cartridge, and the butterfly/mushrooms are from Lori's garden. I did use my expression to make the boy/dog. The little boy is from Nate's ABC's and the butterflies in the jar are from Kate's ABC's.

Besides MCT I am also entering this in the following contests:

#114 - Don't Bug Me
Make a project using some sort of bug.

Graduation Card

I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to make a card for my niece's graduation. I used the holiday cricut card cartridge to cut out the card's shape. Then I used 3 birds on parade to cut out the graduation bird. The bird's face was stamped using peachy keen stamps. I had the grad brad in my collection, and the stamp is from My Creative Time. Her school color's are blue and gold, so I embossed my gold paper and chalked it with PowderPuff Chalk Inks.

I am entering it in the following contests:
